Inherited from Old East Slavic колымо́гъ (kolymógŭ), колимо́гъ (kolimógŭ), колыма́гъ (kolymágŭ), колима́гъ (kolimágŭ), колъма́гъ (kolŭmágŭ), колима́га (kolimága, wagon, cart; tabernacle, tent), a Mongolic borrowing seemingly identical to the name of the Kalmyks named after their ancestors’ wagon forts or covered wagons which fell into disuse after the Mongol invasions.
