[edit]- ознова (oznova)
Etymology
[edit]Inherited from Old Slovak znova, from Proto-Slavic *jьzъ nova. By surface analysis, univerbation of з (z) + нови (novi). Cognates include Belarusian зноў (znoŭ), Czech and Slovak znova, Polish znowu, Russian сно́ва (snóva) and Ukrainian зно́ву (znóvu). Alternative form derives from Old Slovak *odznova, from od + znova, perhaps also influenced by odnova.
