Etymology

[edit]

From Эли́сий (Elísij, Elysium) +‎ -ский (-skij). Эли́сий (Elísij) is a less common form of Эли́зий (Elízij), also Эли́зиум (Elízium). The former term was borrowed directly from Ancient Greek Ἠλύσιον (Ēlúsion, Elysian), while the latter two terms came via Latin, in turn from the same Greek word.
