[edit]Synchronously, ағыу (ağıw, “poison”) + -ла (-la, affix forming a verb).
Compare to Karakhanid [script needed] (ağula-, “to add poison into food”);[1] Tatar агуларга (ağularga, “to poison”), Uzbek ogʻulamoq (“to poison”), Uyghur ئوغۇلىماق (oghulimaq, “to poison”), Turkish ağılamak (“to poison”), Turkmen awulamak (“to poison”).
Verb

- (transitive) To use poison to kill or cause damage to somebody
- (transitive) To pollute; to cause to become poisonous
- Диоксин иң тәүҙә тупраҡты, һауаны ағыулай.
- Dioksin iñ təwźə tupraqtı, hawanı ağıwlay.
- Dioxin first of all pollutes soil (and) air.
- (transitive, agriculture) To treat (e.g. crops) with insecticide, herbicide etc.
