[edit]Borrowed from French asthénie, from Ancient Greek ἀσθένεια (asthéneia), from ἀσθενής (asthenḗs, “sick, weak”), from ἀ- (a-, “not, un-”) + σθένος (sthénos, “strength”).[1] Compare Russian астени́я (asteníja), Belarusian астэні́я (asteníja), Polish astenia.
