[edit]Cognate with Serbo-Croatian хара̀мија/haramija, Bulgarian харамия (haramija), Bulgarian арамия (aramija), Hungarian haramia. Via Ottoman Turkish حرامی (harâmi), all ultimately from Arabic حَرَامِيّ (ḥarāmiyy).
