Рабские Вымираты
Appearance
Russian
[edit]Etymology
[edit]ра́бский (rábskij, “slave-like”) + вымира́ть (vymirátʹ, “to die out, to become extinct”) + эмира́т (emirát, “emirate”), influenced by the similar-sounding Объединённые Ара́бские Эмира́ты (Obʺjedinjónnyje Arábskije Emiráty, “United Arab Emirates”). "Рабский" refers to the practice of autocracy in Russian politics; "вымирать" refers to the claimed poorer quality of life in Russia; and the second word is mixed with "Эмираты" to refer to Russia's economy being primarily based on oil.
