Алевтина

Russian
[edit]Etymology
[edit]The name of St. Valentina of Caesarea, corresponds to Ancient Greek Οὐαλεντίνη (Oualentínē). A similar misspelling is found in the Syriac translation of Eusebius’ On the Martyrs of Palestine, but it is doubtful that Slavic speakers could be familiar with it.
