[edit]Alternative forms
[edit]- προυλέσι (proulési)
Etymology
[edit]It is not entirely clear how this word and πρύλις (prúlis, “Cretan weapon-dance”) are related. In view of the formal variant, the word is probably Pre-Greek. Unrelated to πρύτανις (prútanis, “ruler, lord”).
