παλάσσω
Appearance
Ancient Greek
[edit]Etymology
[edit]Unknown. Possibly connected to πάλλω (pállō, “to swing”), though this verb itself has no certain etymology. One would have to posit a Proto-Hellenic root *pal- with the suffix -άσσω, also found in σταλάσσω (stalássō), αἱμάσσω (haimássō).
