θύμαλλος
Appearance
Ancient Greek
[edit]Etymology
[edit]The word has been connected with θύμον (thúmon, “thyme”), because of its scent. However, as the suffix -αλλος is Pre-Greek, it is improbable that the basic word was of inner-Greek formation.
