Borrowed from Old Persian *Čiçamiθrah, from 𐎨𐎡𐏂 (c-i-ç /⁠čiçaʰ⁠/, shining; appearance; lineage) +‎ 𐎷𐎰𐎼 (mi-θ-r /⁠Miθraʰ⁠/, Mithra).[1]
