Etymology
[edit](On coins, printed with the lunate sigma: Ϲιαϲτανϲας.) From Scythian *caṣṭana (“master”) (cf. Khotanese caṣṭeṃ)).[1]
Cognate with Prakrit 𑀘𑀱𑁆𑀝𑀦 (caṣṭana), Gandhari 𐨖𐨛𐨞 (chaṭhaṇa) and Τιαστανης (Tiastanēs).
