[edit]νῑ́κη (nī́kē, “victory”) + ᾰ̓νδρο- (andro-, “man”) + -ος (-os). Compare Ᾰ̓νδρόνῑκος (Andrónīkos, “Andronicus”), which contains the same components in the opposite order.
