  1. (deponent, intransitive) to age (become older or like someone or something older)
    Hon har åldrats mycket av sjukdomen
    she has aged a lot from the illness
    Sjukdomen får mig att åldras
    the illness makes me age

  • SAOL only lists åldras. The form åldra is used colloquially for making something appear old, e.g. a photo, a garment, or furniture.
