From punch +‎ front. From being a front flip from a hard punch into the ground with the feet to effect the jump.

  1. (gymnastics) A frontal flip by jumping to a landing with both feet and then pushing hard to bounce and flip forward.
  2. (aerialist skiing) A bad landing that ends with the skier bouncing off the snow and flipping forward, landing on their skis again.
