Etymology[edit]
From Proto-Tocharian *kauwärṣän (whence also Tocharian A keyurṣ), from Proto-Indo-European *gʷow-wr̥sen- (“bull”), from *gʷṓws (“cow”), the same source as keᵤ. Cognate with Sanskrit गोवृष (govṛṣa).
