Borrowed from Ottoman Turkish یاصدق (yasdık), from earlier yastuq < *yaztuq, from Proto-Turkic *yạŕtuk (pillow). Compare Serbo-Croatian jàstuk, Bulgarian ястък (jastǎk, couch, bed (in agriculture)).
