[edit]Borrowed from Andalusian Arabic الإِطْرِيَّة (al-ʔitriyya), from Arabic الْإِطْرِيَة (al-ʔiṭriya), from Aramaic אִטְרִיתָא (ʾiṭrīṯā), from Ancient Greek ἴτριον (ítrion). Compare Portuguese aletria.
