Etymology
[edit]Inherited from Sanskrit अष्टाषष्टि (aṣṭāṣaṣṭi). By surface analysis, aṭṭha + saṭṭhi. Cognate with Prakrit अट्ठासट्ठि (aṭṭhāsaṭṭhi), अट्ठसट्ठि (aṭṭhasaṭṭhi), अडसट्ठि (aḍasaṭṭhi).
