Wiktionary:Requested entries:Latin script is easier to find, remember and type. --Daniel. 17:24, 29 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

...but too general, no? We don't want English requests there, for instance. Perhaps have :Latin script be a redirect to the existent page?—msh210 20:48, 1 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
Some thoughts in favor of deleting (and renaming to "Wiktionary:Latin script") the "Wiktionary:Requested entries:Unknown language (Latin script)":
  1. There are already English requests there. An always possible task for this page would be to sort requests by specific language pages, once a person is interested in such placement, recognizes words and doesn't create entries for them.
  2. The possibility of having, say, hundreds of English requests at the Latin script page is not bad nor very avoidable. You seem to have a different opinion, so you might want to clarify it.
  3. The "Unknown language" piece of text is not fully considered by its editors. Some requests on that page actually have gloss definitions and languages. This is particularly useful when a word exists in many languages. I could add twenty requests for pizza only there, for my convenience. --Daniel. 13:16, 2 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
Keep, no harm in it. It may need some cleanup, but then so does just about everything around here. Mglovesfun (talk) 13:22, 2 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
I've already explained the quantity of harmfulness in a previous message. Do you have any particular ideas on cleaning up the discussed page? If possible, clarify how the current state of "about everything" relates to its title. --Daniel. 15:24, 2 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
I didn't mean that multiple requests for pizza shouldn't go there, and so, perhaps, you're right that the current pagetitle is bad. But a request for a words in a single (known) language shouldn't, as the page will quickly fill with words that no Italian editor will want to sift through in order to find the Italian words. That's why the proposed pagetitle is even worse than the current: it will give editors the impression that that's the page to request all Latin-script words at. I do think that any request there listed with a language should be moved. (I volunteer someone else to do it.  :-) )—msh210 15:58, 2 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

No consensus, striking. Mglovesfun (talk) 23:51, 13 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
