Sihler says Persian یک is new, apparently a Turkic borrowing, and that *oyko- is only known in Indic, while Iranian has *oywo-. This seems plausible in view that Old Iranian languages don’t seem to have had any -k variants and neither do other modern Iranian languages, cf. иу (iw).
