From Ufẹ̀. Several folk etymologies existed including i- (“nominalizing prefix”) + fẹ̀, literally “The Land that widens”
- Possibly from i- (“nominalizing prefix”) + fẹ̀ (“to be prosperous, to be successful”), literally “Land of prosperity”
