[edit]Borrowed from Pali koṭi (“crore”) or Sanskrit कोटि (koṭi, “crore”); possibly via Old Khmer °កោដិ (°koṭi, “ten million”) or Angkorian Old Khmer កោដិ° (koṭi°, “ten million”). Cognate with Modern Khmer កោដិ (kaot).
