Usage notes

[edit]

When it is solely used with a consonant, it produces /ɛː/. It is also used as a vowel component to produce other sounds as follows:

  • แ◌ะ becomes /ɛʔ/, without a final consonant.
  • แ◌็ becomes /ɛ/, with a final consonant.

The glyph is recommended to use instead of typing twice.
