Etymology[edit]
From Proto-Tai *klɤlᴬ (“to snore”). Cognate with Ahom 𑜁𑜤𑜃𑜫 (khun), Lao ກົນ (kon), ຂົນ (khon), Isan โกน, Shan ၶူၼ် (khǔun), Nong Zhuang zaen (as in noanzzaen).
