[edit]తిరగమాత • (tiragamāta) n (plural తిరగమాతలు)
- a cooking technique where certain spices are roasted in oil or ghee to give them a stronger flavor, usually with cumin seeds, mustard seeds, red chilli , curry leaves etc. Similar to tempering.
- Other telugu name : Popu
- Also called 'Tadka' as in dal tadka
