[edit]From সন্তে (sonte), from সন্ত (sonto) + -এ (-e), from Magadhi Prakrit 𑀲𑀦𑁆𑀢 (santa), from Sanskrit অস্ (as). Cognate to Sylheti ꠅꠘꠦ (one), Kudmali হঁঁতে , Magahi सतीं (satī̃) , Bhojpuri सन्ते (santē).
