Borrowed from Classical Persian جهنم (jahannam), from Arabic جَهَنَّم (jahannam), from Hebrew גֵּיהִנּוֹם (gēhinnōm), from גֵּיא בֶן הִנֹּם (gē ḇen hinnōm, valley of the son of Hinom).
