[edit]اِخْلَوْلَقَ • (iḵlawlaqa) XII (archaic)
- it is hoped, it may be (with أَن (ʔan) + subjunctive)
- Synonyms: عَسَى (ʕasā), (rare) حَرَى (ḥarā)
- اِخْلَوْلَقَ ٱلسَّلامُ أَنْ يَنْتَشِرَ فِي ٱلْأَرْضِ.
- iḵlawlaqa s-salāmu ʔan yantašira fī l-ʔarḍi.
- It is hoped that peace spreads on the earth.
- اِخْلَوْلَقَتِ ٱلثَّقَافَةُ ٱلْعَرَبِيَّةُ أَنْ تَعُمَّ أَرْجَاءَ ٱلْعَالَمِ.
- iḵlawlaqati ṯ-ṯaqāfatu l-ʕarabiyyatu ʔan taʕumma ʔarjāʔa l-ʕālami.
- It is hoped that the Arab culture spreads in every corner of the world.
Usage notes
[edit]- The verbs حَرَى (ḥarā) and اِخْلَوْلَقَ (iḵlawlaqa) are rarely used in contemporary Arabic.
