    • 1799, The Parliamentary Register, page 764:
My Lords, among other charges it has been ſaid, that I have, in bringing forward the ſubject of Parliamentary Reform, reſorted to intrigue and management, and that I have formed a myſterious and ænigmatical connection with the Correſponding Society—a ſociety who, we are told, are friends to the French, and traitors to their country.
