[edit]From uit + zien. Compare Yiddish אויסזען (oyszen) and German aussehen, also Norwegian Bokmål and Swedish se ut, Danish se ud, Norwegian Nynorsk sjå ut. Same semantic construction as Russian выглядеть (vygljadetʹ), Polish wyglądać, Hungarian kinéz and modern Icelandic líta út.
