[edit]Inherited from Ottoman Turkish تپهدن طرناغه,[1] or تپهدن طیرناغه (tepeden ṭırnaġa)[2] from تپه (tepe) and طرناق (ṭırnaḳ),[3][4] equivalent to tepe (“top, crown; hill”) + -den (ablative suffix) + tırnak (“nail (finger or toe)”) + -a (dative suffix), literally “from the top to the nail”.
