1. (mathematics, of a function) Not affected by a specified group action.

   $f:S\to T$ is equivariant with respect to $g\,\!$: for every $s\,\!$ in $S\,\!$, $g_{T}\,\!f(s)=f(g_{S}\,\!s)$, where $g_{S}\,\!$ and $g_{T}\,\!$ are actions on different sets of the same group.
