(especially manufacturing, simulators, gaming) A digital model of an intended or existing real-world physical product, system, or process (a physical twin); it serves as the effectively indistinguishable digital counterpart of it for practical purposes, such as simulation, computer-aided manufacturing, testing, monitoring, and maintenance.
