Have an entry request? Add it to the list – but please:

  • Consider creating a citations page with your evidence that the word exists instead of simply listing it here
  • Think twice before adding long lists of words as they may be ignored.
  • If possible provide context, usage, field of relevance, etc.
  • Check the Wiktionary:Criteria for inclusion if you are unsure if it belongs in the dictionary.
  • If the entry already exists, but seems incomplete or incorrect, do not add it here; add a request template to the entry itself to ask someone to fix the problem, e.g. {{rfp}} or {{rfe}} for pronunciation or etymology respectively.
    — Note also that such requests, like the information requested, belong on the base form of a word, not on inflected forms.

Please remove entries from this list once they have been written (i.e. the link is “live”, shown in blue, and has a section for the correct language)

There are a few things you can do to help:

  • For inflected languages, if you see inflected forms (plurals, past tenses, superlatives, etc.) indicate the base form (singular, infinitive, absolute, etc.) of the requested term and the type of inflection used in the request.
  • For words in languages that don’t use Latin script but are listed here only in their romanized form, please add the correct form in the native script.
  • Don’t delete words just because you don’t know them – it may be that they are used only in certain contexts or are archaic or obsolete.
  • Don’t simply replace words with what you believe is the correct form. The form here may be rare or regional. Instead add the standard form and comment that the requested form seems to be an error in your experience.

  • 68686 - Nazi or Satanist number slang of some kind used on several Kellersynth albums.
Probably a blend of 666 and 88.
  • 1390 and 1352 - Nazi number slang according to ADL, but not to find in any else place.
It's a reference to FBI crime statistics that Black people , as they say, "constitute 13 percent of the population but commit 52 [I've also heard 56] percent of all [violent, sometimes this part is omitted] crime. Used usually to paint Black people as disproportionately criminal. Other forms may be "13/52", "1356", or "13/56". This might help https://www.adl.org/resources/hate-symbol/1352-1390. IMHO this phrase's meaning is not obvious from it's constituent words. (diversity of what? Who states to whom?) Apokrif (talk) 03:40, 21 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The citations do not give a consistent definition by my reading. Variously also 10000001000 = 106000 as well as 106005 (being "6006 digits or figures") or 10000001001 = 106006 (being "1001 periods"). —DIV (1.145.112.83 11:26, 17 April 2024 (UTC))[reply]

Sounds quite like SoP to me, but perhaps justified by the existence of not a one ...although that entry itself may be queried as potentially SoP (@JMGN). These phrases seem to form a general pattern (not a whisper, not a cloud, not a tree, ...), and we certainly wouldn't want an entry for every instance. —DIV (1.145.103.0 11:35, 9 July 2024 (UTC)) - Sum of parts, please delete[reply]

I suspect the missing sense is not specifically "Secondary Security Screening Selection", but more generally "a set of four" (quadruplet sense 1), in this case four Ss in the phrase. Alternatively, perhaps it started out that way but has subsequently become lexicalized with the more specific meaning. Cnilep (talk) 03:43, 7 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

There are dictionaries of military slang which can confirm these, but at least one genuine use should be identified before a term is created.
