Einkar Cognates
[edit]I'm putting this here because I don't really have a fully formed collection of sources but this word appears to have cognates in Scots and Middle English.
Scots [1]: 'unco-' (in the adverb sense)—although I'm not sure the given etymology works for this.
Middle English [2]: There's no entry I could find for this on wiktionary, but it shows up in Sir Gawain. There is an entry in the OED for 'enker' but I don't reckon the given etymology as a borrowing of encré is convincing
I'd also be interested to know if there are other cognates in Norwegian or the other germanic languages
