This template shows a line with hypernyms. It's intended to be used below each definition, before any usage examples or quotes:

# A deciduous tree with distinctive deeply lobed leaves, acorns, and notably strong wood.

Parameters

• This template takes exactly the same parameters as {{synonyms}} and its shortcut {{syn}}; see the documentation of that template for more information. The only difference between the two is that the text before the hypernyms is Hypernyms: (or Hypernym: if there is only one hypernym) in place of Synonyms: or Synonym:.
