The RFD seems to centre around whether these are real words or not. They are (although reek means smoke rather than smell) and can meaningfully be strung into a sentence if one chooses to. That's hardly the point though as they are no more of a notable expression than, say, "smelling of farts", "looking a bit tired" or "tasting a bit funny". SOP. Granted, it survived RFD back in '06, but back then things were different. --Noodlefrow (talk) 02:55, 23 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

reekin o pish

[edit]

The stated language is Scots. There are three senses, all of which I ask for attestation per WT:ATTEST:

  • Smelling of piss (urine).
  • Smelling extremely bad.
  • Having bad body odour.

Since this may be a sum-of-parts term anyway and thus subject to RFD, where it is currently listed at WT:RFD#reekin o pish, please consider placing the attesting quotations at Citations:reekin o pish. --Dan Polansky (talk) 09:11, 7 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
