My OED and Oxford American (electronic) both show "porte cochère" with no hyphen and always with the diacritical. However, I don't know how this should be reflected in the description.

Pronunciation

I'm not sure what is standard pronunciation, but I've only ever heard one person say this word in my life, and that's my grandmother from Nyack, New York, and she pronounces it "POR-keh-shay". Anyone heard anything different? David, 10/11/10
