In Albanian the word used is also 'libër' http://www.argjiro.net/fjalor/index.php3

That would go on a page for libër. --EncycloPetey 04:34, 21 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

One, devoted to etymologies, enriches the article, and the next day his editing is undone. Why to collaborate.--Manfariel (talk) 22:15, 22 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Incorrect IPA for all L+i combinations in Latin

[edit]

The current page shows a palatalized l for all l+i starting words, I've checked the pronunciation of Latin and this kind of palatalization is a later development and certainly not Classical. Please fix this on every Latin Li-starting word as I searched lignum and it had the same error and try as I might, I can't seem to edit it to the correct form.

Latin

Leibertas in coins and inscriptions points to a form leiber. Archaic Latin louber. <img src="https://www.omniglot.com/images/langsamples/udhr_oldlatin.gif" alt="Article 1 of the UDHR in Old Latin"/> Cognate to Faliscan loifer and Oscan loufir. --Manfariel (talk) 23:41, 15 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
