i would think it to apply more appropriately to the vulva, i.e. the external female genitalia. bear in mind that anatomically, the vagina is considered an internal organ. there is a reference in one of clavell's novels (i'm not sure but i think it is tai-pan) to "worshipping at the jade gate".Toyokuni3 15:06, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
