I think that definition means to show understanding in conversation, not by repeating back in your own words, but instead repeating back in words found by Google. — This comment was unsigned.

Wow, what a confused definition. The sense trying to be conveyed seems to be "response" or "protocol response" but was sufficiently mangled, as to be rendered meaningless. --Connel MacKenzie 02:56, 9 January 2007 (UTC)Reply
