Does the verb "to cognate" exist?

Latin habere, on the other hand, is from PIE *gʰabʰ, 'to give, to receive', and hence cognate with English give and German geben.
- If I understand this grammar, then the underlined instance of the word is a verb. In this case, why Wiktionary does not mention it? Incnis Mrsi (talk) 17:43, 26 February 2013 (UTC)
