Seems to be unattested in this form and as a common noun meaning "elk". What is attested is two personal names, Alkouesi (which is said to be Cisalpine Gaulish, not Lepontic) and Alkouinas (whose language is not specified any more precisely than simply Celtic). This page does call the combining form alko- Lepontic; nevertheless, the two attested forms may justify a Proto-Celtic *alkos (“elk, moose”), but they don't justify this entry. —Aɴɢʀ (talk) 09:10, 17 September 2016 (UTC)
