[edit]Deletion of the second syllable in some Amami dialects and the Miyako forms point to *tukur-. Yaeyama and Yonaguni forms point to *tukor-, but there is no case of **tuku- changing to *tsïfu ~ *ffu in any Yaeyama dialect.
There is also Okinawan しこーゆん (shikōyun), attested in the Nantō Kayō, and Sanuki しこー (shikō, “method”).
