  • This one-handed ASL sign is produced as follows:
    1. Posture the dominant hand in a reduced "D" shape (viz., with the index finger extended, the middle finger and thumb touching at the finger pads, and the remaining two fingers curled) in fingerspelling location (i.e., about half an arm's length in front of the right side of the sternum), with the palm facing forward and the index finger pointing upward.
    2. Quickly move into the following position.
    3. Posture the dominant hand in a reduced "G" shape (viz., with the index finger extended, the thumb bent toward it, and the remaining three fingers curled) in fingerspelling location (i.e., about half an arm's length in front of the right side of the sternum), with the palm facing the nondominant side and the index finger pointing away from the signer.
