Description |
English: Copper alloy oval hasp with floral decoration which would have been paired with a similarly shaped and decorated piece bearing a broad hook. The hasp has a rectangular frame projecting from one end into which the hook from the other section would have fitted, and three projecting circular lugs for sewing onto fabric. The hasp measures 32mm by 28mm and is 1.5mm thick. It is of 17th century date. |
