English: This is an isolated Follicular Dendritic Cell cultured on collagen. It shows a cell body and numerous dendritic cell processes interdigitating with one another and with dendrites of adjacent FDCs to form a network. Networks like this in vivo have the capacity to trap antigens in the form of immune complexes and present the antigen to B cells in germinal centers of lymphoid follicles located in secondary lymphoid tissues.
