DescriptionA Welcome Seat in Horton in Ribblesdale - geograph.org.uk - 430407.jpg
English: A Welcome Seat in Horton in Ribblesdale This seat is alongside the Ribble Way before it descends to the river meadow to continue is sojurn away from Horton in Ribblesdale - see 430400 - and is no doubt welcomed by long and short distance walkers. The back rest of the seat bears the inscription "Donated by the Horton Preservation Society 1993". Just to the right of the seat is a modern wooden footbridge, which allows walkers to cut the corner and avoid the dangerous twin stone road bridges over the River Ribble and Brants Ghyll Beck.
